Cornflower Mystic Blue is a gorgeous and hardy annual that produces an abundance of double flowers in intense shades of blue. This cottage garden favourite creates stunning drifts of colour in the garden. Cornflower is very popular as a cut flower.
Sow direct where they are to grow or into trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix. Firm down, water gently and keep moist through the germination period. Transplant carefully (seedlings resent root disturbance) when large enough to handle.
Choose a sunny, well-drained, wind-protected position. Pinch back flowers and stems to keep plants compact.
