Iceland Poppy produce glorious late Winter/early Spring blooms of crinkled silk in shades of gold, lemon, apricot and salmon. An annual that is ideal for mass garden displays and perfect for picking.
Sow into trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix, barely cover seed with mix, firm down and moisten. Keep trays in shade and move into more Sunlight after germination. Transplant when large enough to handle. Choose a well drained position in full sun but sheltered from the wind. Pinch out early buds until the plants have formed good clumps. Remove spent flowers to promote further blooming. Water at base of plant to avoid disease.
