Beetroot Detroit Red Seed Tape is an easy-to-grow, rich red, globe-shaped root that has sweet tender flesh. It's very versatile in the kitchen- being equally popular in summer salads or in warm winter dishes.
Yates seed tape has pre spaced seeds that can be cut to any length. Choose a sunny, well-drained spot in the garden. Dig soil well, smooth and firm soil surface. Moisten soil and form a groove about 1cm deep. Place the tape flat in the bottom of the groove. Cut where required and lightly cover with Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix. Keep well watered. Allow 30cm between rows. Thin young plants if necessary. Great companion plant for Beans, broccoli, lettuce, onions, potatoes and peas. Pick young leaves and add to salad mixes. Germination 10 - 14 days | Maturity 10 - 12 weeks
