Rhubarb Winter Wonder is delicious in desserts, and adds an interesting aesthetic to the gardening landscape. The stems and flowers are the only edible parts to the rhubarb plant, the leaves are poisonous.
Plant in a sunny, or semi shaded spot. Wind is not a problem, as rhubarb grows relatively low to the ground. Spring growth is stimulated by cold winter temperatures, growth can be suppressed in hotter temperatures. Rhubarb will grow in most soils, however it's preference is soil rich in organic matter. Old stems can be removed, and weeds should be cleared out from around the base. Only around a third of the stems should be harvested each year.
