Dwarf Bean Gourment Delight produces heavy, well-flavoured crops with long, fleshy pods. A dwarf variety that is virtually stringless and doesn't need staking, so you can grow it in pots where space is limited. An ideal bean for freezing. A half hardy annual that grows to 50-60cm.
Sow Dwarf Bean Gourment Delight seeds 25mm deep in dark, damp soil and avoid watering for a day or two afterwards. ensure soil has been prepared with organic compost and well rotted manure.
Sow 7-10cm apart, allowing 50cm between rows. Ensure the danger of frosts has passed and protect plants from the wind.
Plant in 3-5 metre rows and remove weeds regularly. Additional fertilising is not required as legumes produce their own nitrogen. Regular harvesting will result in prolonged yields.
Plant in spring and summer; autumn too in warmer zones.
During periods of hot and humid weather; you may use a fine mist spray on flowers. This will assist with flower and pod set.
