Lavender Hidcote is sweetly fragranced and has a very high lavender oil content, which gives off a very strong perfume. A bee favourite, lavender hidcote features darker, deeper purple flower spikes than standard lavender. Ideal for hedging, due to an upright and compact habit. Excellent for potpourris and sachets, infusions, or delightful scented bouquets.
Sow into trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix. Firm down, water gently and keep moist through germination period. Transplant when large enough to handle into small individual pots. When seedlings are well developed plant out into the garden or larger pots. Choose a very well-drained, sunny site (these plants do not like over-moist conditions). Cut back after flushes of flowering to retain shape and promote young healthy growth. Sow depth 5mm | Germination 14 - 21 days | Flowering 32 weeks
