Gardenia radicans is a small, spreading evergreen shrub with lustrous dark green leaves and strongly fragrant petite double white flowers. Blooming profusely in late Spring to early summer, this shrub was an open branching habit that makes it the perfect pick for pots and containers, low borders or as groundcover. Gardenia Radicans is heat and drought tolerant, plant is ful sun to light shade, best grown in consitently moist, acidic organically rich well drained soil. Although it prefers full sun, a bit of light shade will be appreciated in the warmer months of the year. Snip off spent blooms just below the leaf node to encourage continuous blooming. Prune or shape your Gardenia when it is dormant to promote branching and compact growth.
